You will understand the core components of the Extra Scoop ecosystem and how they verify and license digital journalism. Extra Scoop is an end-to-end platform for capturing, verifying, and licensing eyewitness media. It bridges the gap between citizens on the ground and newsrooms seeking verified, cryptographically secure footage. The system relies on two primary interfaces:
  1. The Eyewitness App: A mobile application for iOS and Android. You use this to capture footage, secure it with hardware-level attestation, and negotiate licences with newsrooms.
  2. The Newsroom Terminal: A web-based workspace for journalists and agencies. You use this to discover breaking footage, assess forensic Trust Scores, and place escrow-backed bids.
Between these interfaces, the Extra Scoop verification engine analyses metadata, hardware signatures, and synthetic media signals to establish provenance before any licence is exchanged.
